The table editor

Browse a project's tables and work its data in a grid - columns, row tools, paging and validation.

The table editor is where most work in Manage happens. It has two panels: a table panel on the left for choosing what to work on, and the data grid on the right for working it.

The table panel

Two tabs sit at the top:

  • Tables - every table in the project, each with a record count. Search with Search tables..., and use the eye toggle to show or hide empty tables (hidden by default, revealed automatically when you search).
  • Views - your saved views, a Pro feature.

A locations filter above the list narrows the whole editor to specific locations or a location group. At the foot of the panel, the validation indicator runs your quality checks - see Validation.

The data grid

Select a table and its records load into the grid:

  • Columns come from the table's fields; resize them by dragging a border, and pin them left or right. A breadcrumb shows the parent chain for a child table, and the Layout dialog lists every column as a reference.
  • Edit data inline or through the row editor - see Editing records.
  • The grid loads a page at a time and shows a count like Showing 1-50 of 240 rows; choose a page size (10 to 250; 50 by default) and move through with the pager.

Row and location tools

Alongside the data columns, each row has a few action columns:

  • Flags - flag a record with a note, a priority and a resolved status. Works on every table; review flags across the project on the Flags screen.
  • Media - the photo and document indicator. It shows a count; click it to preview the attached media and Upload more. See Media.

On the Locations table you also get:

  • Completion status - whether each location (hole) is finished.
  • Export preference - a per-location override of the log and depth used when that location is exported. See Export preferences.
  • Map placement - toggle a column of the internal coordinates used to place a location on the map when survey coordinates are not available.

Working with selected rows

Tick rows to select them and the toolbar offers Edit, Bulk update, Delete, Create location group, and PDF export. See Editing records and Exporting PDF logs.
