Map
See your project on an interactive map - locations, layers, drawing tools and export.
The Map plots your project on an interactive map, with a sidebar of layers and tools down one side. The essentials - the base map and your locations - are on every plan; the richer mapping tools are Pro.
The base map
Switch the base map between street, satellite, hybrid, terrain, light and dark styles. Standard map controls let you zoom, reset the view, reset north and go fullscreen, with a scale bar for reference.
The layer panel
The sidebar is a stack of layers and tools - locations, overlays, boundaries, measurements and more. Each is a section you open to work with, and which appear depends on your plan and role. Your project's locations show as markers as soon as you open the map.
Map advisors
On Pro, Map advisors surfaces validation issues on the map, so you can spot data problems spatially.
In this section
Place and edit locations, switch coordinate systems, group them, and lay out site plans.
Bring in shapefiles, GeoJSON, images, PDFs, historical maps and WMS layers.
Draw site boundaries, measure, and add features and annotations.
Export the current map view as PNG or PDF.
Coordinate systems
Locations carry both WGS84 (latitude / longitude) and OSGB36 (British National Grid) coordinates, shown as you work.
