Exporting data
Produce AGS and CSV outputs from a project.
The Exports area produces clean AGS and CSV outputs from your project data, ready to hand on. Exports are available on all plans, subject to your role.
Create an export
On the Exports screen, choose New export and set it up:
Format
Choose CSV or AGS. For AGS, pick the version - 4.0.3, 4.0.4, 4.1, 4.1.1 or 4.2.0.
Mark it up
Set the file status (Internal, Preliminary or Final) and the producer and recipient recorded in the file.
Options
Optionally split by location (a separate space per location). For AGS you can also:
- normalise list value casing for software that needs exact case matching.
- turn on ASCII only (strict AGS4) to spell every value in plain ASCII, for example Šentvid BH-č1 as Sentvid BH-c1 and 12° as 12deg, so the file passes a strict AGS4 Rule 1 checker such as the BGS one. Your data in GIMLabs keeps the letters as entered; only the file changes.
Choose content
Pick the locations and tables to include - including core tables like diary, standards, chain of custody and testing schedules.
Run it
Submit the export. It builds in the background - wait on the screen or carry on - and when it is ready you download it. The Exports list keeps a history with each export's status (Queued, Building, Complete or Failed), format and details.
Dates and times are written in your organisation's local time, as the table editor shows them, so a file you export imports back unchanged.
PDF logs come from the table editor
This area produces AGS and CSV data files. To export PDF logs for locations, use the table editor - see Exporting PDF logs and Export preferences.
