# Exporting data

> Produce AGS and CSV outputs from a project.

The **Exports** area produces clean **AGS** and **CSV** outputs from your project
data, ready to hand on. Exports are available on all plans, subject to your role.

## Create an export

On the **Exports** screen, choose **New export** and set it up:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Format">
    Choose **CSV** or **AGS**. For AGS, pick the **version** - 4.0.3, 4.0.4, 4.1,
    4.1.1 or 4.2.0.

  <Step title="Choose content">
    Pick the **locations** and **tables** to include - including core tables like
    diary, standards, chain of custody and testing schedules.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Run it

Submit the export. It builds in the background - wait on the screen or carry on -
and when it is ready you **download** it. The **Exports** list keeps a history with
each export's status (**Queued**, **Building**, **Complete** or **Failed**), format
and details.
