Checks and flags
See the project's validation findings on the log, fix or mark them checked, and flag rows.
Checks
The Logs & Sheets page shows the project's validation findings where they are on the log, along with the log's own depth check (gaps between strata, and strata that overlap).
- With one location open, it is checked against the data as you work. Other locations show the project's last validation run.
- Errors show as red pins. Warnings and advice show too with Show > Check warnings and advice.
- Next to the comment count, a chip gives the location's errors and warnings: click it to list only the findings. The refresh button checks the location again.
Deal with a finding
Open a finding to see what's wrong.
- Fix it: its fix buttons (or Open the row to fix) open the edit card with the new value typed in. It clears on the next check.
- Mark checked, when it's right as it is. Reopen takes that back.
- All N like this, on every location lists every finding of that rule. From there, Check every location brings them all up to date, and Mark all checked clears them with one reason, which goes in the comment register.
Findings are advice, there to support what engineers say on the log: they never stop a log being checked or approved (see Checking and approving).
Flags
Click a data row and choose Flag on the edit card. Write what's wrong, pick a priority, and press Flag.
It is the row's own flag: the same one the table editor and the Flags screen show. On the log it is an orange flag pin, with a red dot for High and Highest. Resolve it with the tick, or Reopen or Unflag it from its ... menu; the change shows everywhere.
Use Filter > Has flags on the locations list to find locations with open flags.
