Exporting data
Download the current Explorer view as CSV or JSON, including large tables.
Insight can export what you are viewing to a file - CSV for spreadsheets, or JSON for scripts and integrations.
Exporting
With a table open, click CSV or JSON in the toolbar. Insight builds the file and your browser downloads it, named after the table.
The export matches what you are viewing:
- it respects your project filter, so only the selected projects are included,
- it includes the geology overlay columns when the overlay is on,
- columns come out in the same order as the grid, under their display names.
Export access
The CSV and JSON buttons only appear if your role has export access. If you can browse but not export, ask your administrator for the Export permission. See Access and permissions.
Large tables
A single export covers up to 100,000 rows. When a table holds more than that, Insight asks you to pick a range so you can pull it down in batches - rows 1 to 100,000, then 100,001 to 200,000, and so on - until you have everything.
Filter first
Filtering by project before you export is the quickest way to get just the data you need in one file, rather than batching through a whole table.
