Testing

Company-wide lab testing schedules and chain of custody, read-only across every project.

The Testing area gives you a single, read-only view of your laboratory testing across every project - the schedules you have raised and the chain of custody records that track samples to the lab.

Authored in Manage

Testing schedules and chain of custody records are created and managed in Manage. Insight surfaces them read-only, gathered across all your projects in one place.

Summary

At the top, summary tiles give you the headline numbers:

  • Schedules - total, overdue, due in the next 7 days, in progress, and completed.
  • Chain of custody - total, issued, received, and complete.

Lab activity

Below the summary, Insight shows which laboratories the work sits with, and how many schedules and chain of custody records each one has - a quick read on where your testing is concentrated.

Schedules and chain of custody

Two tabs hold the detail, each a searchable table. Search by reference, project or lab to find a record.

Schedules

Each schedule shows its reference, project, lab, sample and test counts, due date and status. Overdue schedules are flagged; a preliminary due date (not yet confirmed by the lab) shows as (prelim.) and is not counted as overdue.

Statuses use your company's own list (set in Product OS) - by default the standard AGS testing statuses (Awaiting start, In progress, Completed, Not received, Not required, Restricted, Cancelled), with any renamed or custom statuses shown here too.

Chain of custody

Each record shows its reference, project, the lab it was dispatched to, sample count, dispatch date and status:

StatusMeaning
DraftBeing prepared.
IssuedIssued for dispatch.
ReceivedReceived by the lab.
CompleteClosed out.
