What Insight is, who it is for, and how the Explorer and Testing fit together.
Insight is the GIMLabs read-only data explorer. It is a web app that opens every project in your organisation in one place, so you can browse, filter and export your ground data - without any risk of changing a thing.
It is built for the people who need to look at data rather than edit it - reviewers, project managers and engineers checking results across jobs - and who want one clean view of it without opening the Excel add-in or holding edit access to the source records.
Runs in your browser
Insight is a web app, so there is nothing to install. Sign in at insight.gimlabs.io with your GIMLabs account. See Sign in and access to get started.
What you can do
Pick a table and read its data in a clean grid - filter by project, overlay geological descriptions, and export to CSV or JSON.
See lab testing schedules and chain of custody across every project, with status, due dates and lab activity at a glance.
Read-only by design
Insight never edits your data. There are no edit controls anywhere in the app - you can browse and export, but the records stay exactly as they were captured. That makes it safe to give to anyone who needs visibility of a project without the risk that comes with edit access.
How it fits with the platform
Insight reads the same project data as the rest of GIMLabs. The locations, samples and test results you see here are the records captured in Log, refined in Manage and shared through Connect. There is one source of truth - Insight just gives you a fast, read-only window onto it.

Insight's top navigation also lists Analytics and Map, which are in development and shown as Coming soon. Today the live areas are the Explorer and Testing.
