Exploring data

Browse the project's tables and read its data in the grid.

The Explorer is the main area. Pick a table from the sidebar and its records load into a grid - read-only, and shaped by the access the project team gave you.

Choose a table

The sidebar lists the project's tables, each with a live record count. Search by name to narrow the list, and select a table to load it. If you can see empty tables, a toggle lets you show or hide them.

Read the grid

The grid shows the table's records:

  • columns come from the table's fields, in their configured order,
  • where it is shared with you, a Hole Status column shows whether each location is complete,
  • a geology overlay can add the geological description for each record's depth - turn it on with the Geology button when it is available,
  • values are formatted for display, matching how they read elsewhere in GIMLabs.

Page through results below the grid; Connect loads records a page at a time.

What you see depends on your access

Your view may be narrowed by the project team:

  • Locations only - you see just the location tables, not the detail beneath them.
  • Complete locations only - locations still in progress are hidden.
  • Empty tables - tables with no data may be hidden.

If a table or location you expect is not there, this is usually why - check with the person who shared the project.
