Constants

Stamp project values onto template cells that fill in on Collect.

Constants are project values - Project Name, Client, Contractor, Status, dates and the like - that you place onto template cells. When the template is collected, each cell fills in automatically from the project, so title blocks and headers are always correct without retyping.

Placing a constant

Open the Constants picker

In Design mode, click Constants on the Build group. You see the project values available and any already placed.

Place it

Choose place next to a value, then click the template cell where it should go. The picker reopens with the placement recorded.

Moving and removing

For any placed constant you can:

  • Relocate it to a different cell, or
  • Remove it so the cell no longer fills in.

Build your title block once

Place constants into a template's header or title block once. Every Collect, by anyone, stamps in the right project details - no copy-paste, no stale client names.

On Collect

Placed constants fill from the selected project's metadata each time the template is collected. If you collect a different project with the same template, the same cells fill with that project's values instead.
