# Sheets

> Choose which worksheets are kept when a template is saved.

A template often picks up extra worksheets while you build it - scratch sheets,
working calculations, or the data sheets a test Collect created. The **Sheets**
picker lets you choose exactly which worksheets belong to the template, so only
those travel with it when you save.

## Choosing sheets to keep

In Design mode, click **Sheets**. Tick the worksheets that are part of the
template; anything left unticked is removed when you save.

  Tick only the sheets that make up the template (the template sheet and any
  supporting sheets). Working sheets you used while designing can be left out -
  they will not travel with the template.
</Callout>

## When it applies

Your choice takes effect at **Save** - unticked sheets are stripped from the
saved template, while the workbook on your screen is unchanged until you save.
See [Saving templates](/calc/building-templates/saving).

  Like the rest of template authoring, the Sheets picker is unavailable on the
  Go tier, where Calc is collect-only. See
  [modes and permissions](/calc/concepts#modes-and-permissions).
